Before race! We are ready!



I picked up my friends this am, and we were off to Hamburg to run the Armadillo 5k. It is a really flat race! It was so humid, but fun! I ran to TobyMac the whole time and really enjoyed the energy of his music! My friend Kari and her fiance, Mike, won awards! The are so FAST! Julie got 2nd, Jenna got 1st in her age, and I got 1st in my age group. I have realized that this body is getting old!! Running is ALWAYS a challenge for me! But the best part is how God amazes me and gives me a little "therapy" with Him when I run! Thanks also to Sharon, my awesome boss, who took pics of all of us!

We had such a great time in Conway last week! I have to say, it is hard sometimes to go home, because I was very much reminded on the friendships I miss so dearly. I have a past with these folks. They know me so in depth. Years have been invested into these relationships. I went for pleasure but also for business! I am taking the ACE personal trainer test this summer. So I was grateful to Conway Regional Fitness center for helping me so much w/ my questions! U guys rock! I was so GRATEFUL to be at the prayer vigil for the McCarrons at my old church, 2nd Baptist. It was great to feel God all over Emily and Sean despite their circumstance. We are called to pray for each other in need! I got to spend some precious time w/ Melinda, too! Kole got to play w/ our old playgroup, and we got to see extra doses of our cousins! I appreciated my inlaws for letting us stay. Another wonderful thing was seeing Kris Allen stuff EVERYWHERE! He is on American Idol, my favorite contestant EVER since Mandisa!!! He is a great Christian guy who goes to New Life Church here. I got to read some great articles on him in the local publications. It is time for America to see a great Christian win Idol!! And thanks to a great ride w/ Earl and the gang, I am once again ADDICTED to my road bike! P.S. This Kris Allen song is great, but I couldn't get "Falling Slowly" yet. Enjoy!

Praying for Emily

As those of you know my best friend, Emily, lost her home on Easter Sunday to fire. I am just so devestated that she and Sean are having to endure another tragedy in their lives. I got the call and asked God, "why Emily?" She is truly one of the very few people I have ever known that bestows the quality of Christ's love. A servant. A leader. A prayer warrior. My friend. God just gave me a peace and some scripture to help me realize that we are never alone or forgotten in tragedies like this, but He is so close. I know God had a reason and a purpose! Please pray for her, Sean, and James Patrick! Tomorrow night I will be attending my old church, 2nd Baptist of Conway, for a special prayer service for them. I pray they find more peace and love! Emily, if you are reading this, listen to the words to this song! May it give you some peace!!

Go 4 Autism Race

I did a race 2 weeks ago and I didn't have my SIM card in the camera! So no photos! But it was a beautiful day and the race was so much fun. Well, not my complete thoughts as I was running it. Since working at the gym keeps me so busy, I don't get to run much as I used to run. So I cranked on my praise music! Here are pics of the kids and me the day after the race! I got an itunes card, 1st in my age, and overall 10k female runner.

Hancock Party

Two weeks ago we had a going away party for our good friend Kevin Hancock who is being deployed to Iraq. It was a great night of good food, fellowship, and some singing! Benny brought out the guitar and we all laughed as he played songs and we forgot the lyrics! We are praying so hard for Kevin, Tracey, and the girls.

Kole and Kate's Awana Graduation

We are so PROUD of Kole! He finished his awana cubby book this year! He worked so hard every week on his verses! Last night was the ceremony. Grandaddy and Mamaw came to watch him and Kate. She was a Puggle this year! Memorizing God's word is the most important thing we can give our kids!

Hot Springs for Spring Break

So we left last Wednesday for Hot Springs! It was so nice to be away and just relax. We w/ to Mamaw and Grandaddy's home there. Grandaddy has worked very hard to make this house so beautiful! We loved it! We ate out at so many good places like: McClard's, Fisherman's Warf, Olive Garden, Chili's, and several other places! We shopped, went to the alligator farm, played putt-putt, and went to see the Easter bunny. We played alot! It was just a great 5 days!!
